CUSTOMIZING YOUR AVATAR

OVERVIEW

Your 2XKO avatar is your lobby identity — the character everyone sees before you ever press a button. Between outfits, emotes, titles, banners, and champion skins, there’s a deep wardrobe hiding in the menus. Here’s how it all works and what’s worth chasing.

Tip

Cosmetics drop every patch and event cycle — check the free track first. Some of the cleanest looks in the game cost exactly zero.

YOUR LOBBY AVATAR

The avatar system covers your social presence:

  • Outfits & pieces — mix tops, bottoms, and accessories; unlock through the battle pass, events, and the shop
  • Emotes — lobby expressions and round-end taunts
  • Titles & banners — earned through ranked milestones, mastery, and events
  • Profile badges — show off rank peaks and event participation

CHAMPION SKINS

Champion skins change your fighter’s look in-match — from recolors up to full themed sets like the Frame Perfect and Pool Party lines. They’re purchasable in the in-game store, and bundles rotate with patches and seasonal events, so wishlist-and-wait is a legitimate strategy.

  • Skins are cosmetic only — zero gameplay advantage
  • Event skins often vault after the event; grab limited ones if you love them
  • Recolors are the budget option and still look sharp on stream

EARNING WITHOUT SPENDING

Free customization paths most players miss:

  • Finish the tutorial and intro challenges — they shower you with starter cosmetics
  • Champion mastery levels award per-character items
  • Event modes (like The Climb) carry their own reward tracks
  • Watch for Twitch drops during big 2XKO events

SPENDING SMART

If you do decide to open your wallet, a little planning gets you a lot more drip per dollar:

  • Buy bundles, not singles — themed sets almost always cost less than the individual pieces bought one at a time.
  • Wait for rotations — skins vault and return; if it isn’t flagged limited-time, there’s no rush to pay full price.
  • Prioritize what you actually see — you stare at your point character and lobby avatar every match, so spend there before niche emotes.
  • Know your currencies — earned and premium currency don’t buy the same things; read the Currency & Skins guide before converting anything.

Cosmetics are a want, not a need — the free track keeps you looking sharp while you decide what’s genuinely worth it.

LOOK GOOD, PLAY GOOD

Drip secured — now match it with skill: pick your main with the champion guide, or grab stream-ready overlays and alerts in the shop to complete the look on camera.
